This study examined whether a digital behavioral health game could support adolescent mental health. Participants were aged 16 to 19 and came from 15 school-based health programmes in Connecticut.
A total of 532 adolescents were randomly assigned either to a digital game delivered over six weeks or to an active comparison programme. At 12 months, the game group had modestly lower depression scores. No significant effect was detected for anxiety.
