This study used data from a nationally representative survey of Korean middle and high school students. The main analysis focused on 992 current users of cigarettes, e-cigarettes or both.
Longer daily e-cigarette use and dual use were associated with higher anxiety scores. The same significant association was not found for cigarette-only use. The researchers stress that the study was cross-sectional and the observed effects were modest.
