Cannabis can be consumed by smoking, vaping, eating edible products or using several methods. This study analysed US survey data from 17,732 adults who reported cannabis use in the previous 30 days.
Researchers identified four main patterns: mainly smoking, smoking and vaping, mainly edibles, and using multiple methods. Younger adults were more likely to be in the smoking-and-vaping or multiple-method groups. Cannabis use disorder was also more common in some of these groups than among people who mainly smoked cannabis.
