Introduction: Although previous studies have addressed the association between smoking and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), there are few studies on the association between electronic cigarette use and OSA. Thus, we aimed to evaluate the association between the dual use of electronic and conventional cigarettes and OSA.
Introduction: Tobacco users are categorized as single, dual, and triple users based on the number of tobacco products (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and heated tobacco products) used. This study addressed a literature gap by examining how adult Korean tobacco users' quit attempts/plans differed based on the user type, and the associated psychosocial and subjective health-related factors.
Based on the study, she noted two kinds of individuals. A type I individual is more likely to initiate smoking, more likely to become addicted if he does smoke, and less likely to have strong motivation and high self-efficacy to quit smoking. In contrast, a type II individual is less likely to initiate smoking, has lower addiction potential, and a higher potential to quit smoking.

In the present study, the main objective was to reveal whether treatment by Omega-3 fatty acids could prevent the adverse effects of adolescent nicotine withdrawal on spatial and avoidance memory in male rats. For this purpose, Morris water maze and passive avoidance tests were performed on male Wistar rats and the hippocampal levels of oxidative stress markers, inflammatory indices, brain-derived neurotrophic factor, nitrite, amyloid-B and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) were measured.
Previous studies have shown the association between smoking and increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, but long-term effects of waterpipe use are unknown and more research is needed. The present study explored the relationship between cigarette and waterpipe smoking and heart disease in southern Iran.
