Government told: Evali cases to come with PH as vape manufacturing hub

DoH warns vs vape investments

THE Department of Health (DoH) urged the country's economic managers to consider the effect on public health of allowing more investments in the local electronic cigarette industry. The DoH issued the statement after Trade Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo called on manufacturers of heated tobacco products (HTPs) to do business in the Philippines. HTPs are more popularly known as electronic cigarettes, electronic vaporizers or vapes. Rodolfo said multinational tobacco companies are exploring opportunities to make the country a manufacturing hub for HTPs.
